Schedule an in-person appointment and provide basic information about your home.
Step 2
An Energy Specialist will visit your home to provide an assessment and recommend a personalized energy-efficiency plan.
Step 3
Receive no-cost energy efficient products such as advanced power strips, low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators, and programmable thermostats.
Based on your assessment, you may receive:
Insulation and air sealing
Get 50-100% off home insulation (up to $10,000) plus no cost air sealing of leaks. Select a participating contractor or be assigned one through the program.
High efficiency equipment rebates
Access rebates up to $2,750 on qualifying heating, cooling, and water heating equipment.
0% loan for energy efficiency improvements
Receive information on how you can qualify for a 0% interest loan toward home efficiency improvements.

Who is eligible for a Home Energy Assessment
To be eligible for a no-cost Home Energy Assessment, customers must:
- Be residential customers of Rhode Island Energy who live in a one- to four-unit home
- Have full access to the house and the ability to install any recommended instant-saving products

How this program is funded
These programs are funded by the energy-efficiency charge on all customers’ gas and electric bills, in accordance with Rhode Island law. Additional criteria may apply.
