Rhode Island Energy offers training on the latest energy efficiency techniques and services to our Rhode Island partners, including contractors, manufacturers, distributors, building managers, facility managers, architects, and developers. Take advantage of the following training opportunities:

Building Operator Certification® (“BOC”) is a leading training and certification program for building engineers and maintenance personnel. Rhode Island Energy funds 50% of the tuition costs for the Fundamentals of Energy Efficient Building Operations for graduates who have not participated in the course in the last 5 years and are in a facilities management position. EPA is excited to announce a new opportunity for manufacturers: the ENERGY STAR Industrial Assistance Network. ENERGY STAR offers the Industrial Assistance Network to provide small and medium-sized manufacturers with access to local energy management support. By joining the network in your region, you will learn about the tools and expertise available to you and have opportunities to earn recognition from ENERGY STAR for your achievements.

Participants will receive:

  • Training – monthly online energy management training;
  • Networking – quarterly workshops and meetings to share best practices and learn from one another;
  • Coaching – support from industrial energy management experts to refine your energy program; and,
  • Tools – introduction and access to ENERGY STAR resources as well as services provided by other regional energy efficiency programs.
