RIE’s File Transfer Center
Welcome to the RIE File Transfer Center
The RIE File Transfer Center is a web-based service that lets you send large files without worrying about email size limits. Your files are transferred using 128-bit TLS encryption. Please note that, while the files are transferred securely using encryption, they are not encrypted when stored on the server.
How the RIE File Transfer Center Works
Here's a step-by-step guide to using the service:
- Upload Files: The sender uploads files to the PPL File Transfer Center
- Specify Recipients: The sender specifies the email addresses of the recipients
- Send Notification: Recipients receive an email with a tracking number (files are not sent in this email)
- Download Files: Recipients use the tracking number to download the files within 14 days

Use Is Limited to Business Purposes
This system is provided for PPL employees and their authorized clients for business purposes only. To protect and ensure proper functioning, administrators monitor this system. PPL may monitor, intercept, record, and search any communications or data on this information system at any time for any lawful purpose.
PPL may disclose information to the U.S. Government and its authorized representatives to protect critical infrastructure and key resources, ensure information security, or comply with any laws, regulations, legal processes, or government request. By using this system, you consent to such monitoring and recording and should not expect communications to remain private.
If monitoring reveals a violation of RIE policy or possible criminal activity, evidence will be provided to corporate officers and appropriate authorities.
Note: Senders outside RIE can only use this service to send files to recipients within RIE.
