New Pole Attachment Customers

Obtaining an RIE pole attachment license

If you are a new customer within the Rhode Island Energy service territory and are looking to make attachments to RIE-owned facilities, you must have a License Agreement for the type of attachment you wish to install.

Obtaining a License Agreement

  1. Fill out a Pole Attachment License Agreement Request Form (pdf)
  2. Email the completed form to poleattachmentservices@rienergy.com
  3. RIE will verify your information and send a License Agreement for your signature
  4. Once both parties have signed and returned the agreement, RIE will issue a unique Licensee Code
  5. You may then submit new applications under the Licensee Code

For all proposed attachments on RIE poles that are jointly owned by Verizon New England, a separate signed license agreement must be entered into with Verizon New England. All Verizon New England specifications and licensing requirements must be followed in addition to RIE’s requirements. Please contact Verizon (NE) for details.
