Rhode Island Energy’s gas and electric supplier programs offer tools and resources to support efficient operations and ensure compliance. Electric suppliers can access information on the Default Service Plan, customer data, energy auctions, and the Supplier Portal for invoicing and self-service. Gas suppliers have access to customer enrollment documents, transportation terms, meter reading schedules, and telemetering requirements.

Steps to become a supplier

Follow these steps to become an approved electric supplier in Rhode Island:

  1. Go to the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission website and follow the necessary steps to become an approved supplier in Rhode Island.
  2. Complete the following forms and applications:
  3. Access and complete the ISO New England Market System Asset Registration Form using the Rhode Island Energy Information for the ISO-NE Market System Asset Registration Form (pdf)
  4. Submit the following additional documents:
